What is BeA Money Maker?
Simply put, it is recognizing and honoring those that work hard.
We consider building furniture more than just a factory job, it is a trade, craft and sometimes even art. Think about the last time you struggled to put your bed sheet on straight and now look at your couch, especially if it has any patterns on it. All those lines perfectly matching, accurately stretched around arms and backs? Someone crafted that furniture, often paid piece-work and under massive time constraints to get it delivered to you. That upholsterer and the other people in the furniture trade have to rely on equipment that doesn’t give in, on equipment that they can depend on, on equipment that gets the job done.
One of the key pieces of equipment? Staple guns: used to securely hold frames together, attach springs and padding, and finally attaching the fabric or leather to it all. The staple gun almost becomes the extension of your hand, applying ten thousands of staples day after day. Occasionally abused as a hammer, all paint worn off from being tossed around for years – yet never quitting, just like the women and men using them. A reliable partner on the job, making money together: the BeA Money Maker.
The story behind the BeA Money Maker logo
The BeA Money Maker logo shows the tool that comes to mind for most people when thinking of BeA: the 71/16-401 upholstery tacker, a tool that has been the industry standard with very little change for almost 40 years.
When asking factory employees how they like their tools, we all too often heard: “I love my money maker”, thus (and inspired by a tattoo of a BeA tool), the BeA MoneyMaker idea was born… a logo developed, t-shirts, hats and stickers printed honoring those that depend on us to get the job done.
That's great, but how do I get one?
